Anna and Brenda have a big report due tomorrow. They better start working! Except that Anna keeps getting distracted. Brenda doesn't understand why Anna keeps talking to other people instead of working on the report. Soon they start talking about a condition Anna has, called ADHD.

Hi! I'm Anna and I'm into
everything. I mean everything! I like telling jokes and swimming
and running. One day I hope to be in a triathlon. I was born in South
Korea. My American parents adopted me when I was just 2 months
old. Every summer our whole family goes to a camp to learn about
Korean culture and heritage stuff. I'm always learning ways to deal with
my ADHD too, that's Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. It means I
have a hard time paying attention. I take medicine
that helps my brain to focus like glasses help eyes to focus. If I have
a lot of reading homework I read, take a break, read, take a break, until it's
finished. Do you have any tricks to help you learn new things?

Hi, I'm Brenda. I like to sing, act and dance. Anna and I have been friends for a long time. Sometimes she drives me crazy because she won't sit still, like right now when we are supposed to be working on our report. She's a lot of fun though, and makes good grades in school. When you have a problem with one of your friends, how do you talk to them? |
