Distance Learning

FSC offers Distance Learning through its partnership with Huntsville City Schools (HCS).  HCS students and parents can take advantage of special seminars and training sessions that are webcast live from FSC to schools throughout Huntsville.

FACTS, a Family And Child Training System provides strengths-based family support training for frontline human service workers. Supported in part by a grant from the Corporate Foundation for Children and fees from participants, the strategies taught in FACTS training have been demonstrated to improve the performance of workers across the board. Benefits of the training include:

Financial Literacy Life Skills Training provides free money management training for adults and children in the Madison County area (sponsored by United Way).  A basic understanding of money and how it works is crucial to the ability to develop assets, and is at the very core of healthy families and communities. Individual and group training sessions are provided on banking, investing, homeownership, debt reduction and the importance of good credit.  Topics such as having adequate insurance, establishing an emergency fund, and saving for retirement are also covered.
