       Life Skills Training


Family Services Center provides free Money Management training at various locations throughout Madison County.  This program is made possible by a grant from the United Way of Madison County and other organizations.  There is absolutely no charge to participate in the training or for any of the materials provided.  

Regular Monthly Training Session
 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm on the fourth
Tuesday of each month

If your organization would like one of our trainers to teach the course at your location,

A money management training program is also available for middle & high school students.

Family Services Center provides training in “real-life” money management skills to help individuals and families improve their financial condition, avoid predatory financial services, and put them on the path to self-sufficiency. 

Each 1˝ hour group session is identical and covers the following topics:

How money and credit works and the importance of saving money and building assets.

Using mainstream banking and credit services. 

Setting financial goals and creating and living within a budget to meet them; savings strategies, retirement saving.

Avoiding high interest debt and predatory lending, and establishing and improving credit. 

Being properly and economically insured and having emergency funds.
