LIFT Housing Program

outreach and engagement;

Family Services Center's LIFT Housing Program provides low-cost transitional housing to homeless families in Huntsville/Madison County, Alabama.

LIFT also provides supportive services to encourage independent living and prepare families for permanent homes, and help move them to self-sufficiency.

Transitional Housing: LIFT Housing’s Transitional Housing program is designed to prevent families from becoming chronically homeless by providing early intervention, affordable housing and supportive social services. The program offers low-cost housing for up to 18 months to homeless families with young children. All families must have at least one employed parent and must be certified as homeless according to federal guidelines.

LIFT utilizes HOME funds from ADECA through the City of Huntsville Community Development, and other funding sources, for the acquisition, renovation, maintenance and administration of housing for homeless families.
