Family Services Center (FSC) offers a series of free workplace seminars on personal and family finance in cooperation with United Way of Madison County. All information is provided in an unbiased manner, since FSC does not sell or promote any financial products or services.
The seminars cover the most important concepts of household finance in a down-to-earth way. Seven (7) topics are available including:
Money Management/ Budgeting
Reducing Debt
Investing 101
Retirement Saving
Your 401k
Purchasing Your First Home
Affordable Car Buying
The sessions are tailored to worker and workplace needs, ranging from 30 minutes to two hours each, and can be taught at any location in the Huntsville/ Madison County area, before, during or after work hours.
Local firms have found these seminars to be important to improving personal financial self-confidence, particularly the understanding of credit, investing and 401k plans, and avoidance of scams.
