  • Family Services Center is a community-based organization whose mission is to strengthen and support individuals and families through comprehensive, prevention-based services designed to increase self-sufficiency.  


Family Services Center provides an array of anti-poverty and family strengthening programs in the greater Huntsville area, including affordable housing, homelessness prevention, job transportation, conflict resolution, financial literacy training, mental health & substance abuse counseling, and parenting support.


Family Services Center is located near downtown Huntsville, in a comfortable, convenient, quiet office park, with plenty of free parking just a few steps away from our front door.  We offer flexible appointments to meet your schedule and all participation is strictly confidential.  Everyone is welcome.


Our experience and resources give us access to many ways to help you and your family resolve important issues.  Family Services Center’s goal is to enrich family and individual life.  We also provide specialized training seminars and workshops to other organizations.

 

Staff Expertise, Qualifications & Credentials

Family Services Center's staff is composed of Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Certified Social Workers, Certified Housing Counselors, and other professionals.

Funding

Family Services Center is funded by the United Way of Madison County, the Combined Federal Campaign, the Alabama State Combined Campaign, Alabama Children's Trust Fund, Alabama Dept. of Economic & Community Affairs, U.S. Dept. of Housing & Urban Development, other public & private grants, private donations and agency fundraisers.  Most services are provided free of charge.  Any fees charged to clients are based on ability to pay (except for some court-ordered programs).
